The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Fighters Group
Since the launch of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a wide array of personalities, and a thrilling plot featuring celestial beings, evil spirits, and dark forces increasing in strength within Dol-Makjar.
Note: Key plot points for Episode 3 of this adventure lie ahead.
The Soldiers Table Unveiled
Episode 3 finished on a huge suspense moment and presented the premier party of heroes who will separate from the primary party to undertake their own adventure, apart from the other two tables.
The combat-focused team consists of Teor (portrayed by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (the player), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).
Dividing the Cast
Given 13 cast members, it was evident from the start that maintaining everyone at one table would be unworkable.
This explains, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Introduction, weaving together the individual narratives before dividing into three smaller tables: Fighters, Planners, and Explorers.
Characteristics of the Soldiers Table
According to the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for participants who are drawn to a traditionally charged fight-heavy gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are rare.
Initially, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander might appear unsuited, but the events of episode 3 show why these five characters are best suited for the Soldiers table.
Reasons to Leave
First, the team has a clear idea where to go next after a violent opening clash with the antagonists.
A former ally of the deceased character—whose death started the story’s plot—exploited the foes for his own means, invading the hidden lair, assaulting the character, and taking all the enchanted items to sell off.
The traitor then cleared his debts and escaped to a secure base in the remote area, north of Dol-Makjar, with Cyd hot on his heels.
Personal Motivations
Additionally, each character has a individual motive to exit the urban setting:
- The rogue, as the companion and trusted friend, wants vengeance.
- The adventurer has experience in the region and warns that it is a hostile place.
- The strong character and The healer, having resisted his relatives’ demands to kill Teor and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
- But, their reputation as prominent individuals in House Halovar could enable the team reach areas they normally couldn’t.
- Additionally, The grateful character swore a eternal obligation to The cleric for his deliverance and will now follow him everywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
In addition, all of them are hunted by the powers that control the setting for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind too risky:
- Thimble and Kattigan are known criminals.
- Tyranny and The healer betrayed the powerful family and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
- The fighter is wanted dead by House Halovar.
This means them no alternative but to head to Timmony in pursuit of Casimir.
Upcoming Developments
Based on episode three’s Cooldown, we learn that the warrior group will be absent next week, leaving the other eight participants to round up the Questers and Planners groups.
Viewers can look forward to discovering which adventurers will be where in the story’s last Overture episode, available to watch on next week.
